Esports Arena

In the Fall of 2023, John Brown University elevated its esports club to varsity level within the Golden Eagles Athletics program. The Bynum Theater, located inside the Walton Lifetime Health Complex, was then transformed into a state-of-the-art esports arena to accompany the growing program.

The theater has 20 top-of-the-line Alienware gaming PCs, versatile Nintendo Switch consoles, massive 86-inch viewing monitors and theater seating for 78 spectators. The addition of two broadcast cameras, a professional shoutcaster desk, 10 high-definition player cameras, and sophisticated broadcast and lighting controls make it a hub for thrilling esports matches.
