SILOAM SPRINGS -- JBU defeated Butler Community College 4-1 Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field in Siloam Springs.
Butler led off the scoring within the first few minutes of the game, but JBU came back to knot the score at the 11 minute mark on a goal by Danae Millard.
JBU's leading scorer, Christie Smeal, not expected to return from ankle injury until Homecoming, entered the second half to score two goals within the first ten minutes. Stephanie St.Clair added a goal kick to end the scoring for the Golden Eagles.
The JBU Women's soccer team is now 4-2 for the season and will play Friends (Kan.) for Homecoming at noon on October 12.
