John Brown University Women’s Soccer Posts Second Straight Shutout

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- JBU scored another shutout in the inaugural season for women's soccer by defeating Oklahoma Wesleyan 6-0 on Thursday afternoon.

JBU moved to 2-0 on the season as Christie Smeal had 3 goals to lead the team effort. Danah Waters contributed 2 goals to the winning effort as Holly Green had 4 saves from her goalkeeper position. John Brown led 2-0 at halftime.

JBU Women Golden Eagles soccer will be on the road again for their next match when they travel to Hillsboro, Kansas to play Tabor (Kan.) on Saturday, September 14 at 4:00 p.m.
