SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. -- The John Brown University women's basketball team shot 50 percent from the floor and ended a two-game losing skid by subjecting Central Christian (Kan.) to 17 triples as the Golden Eagles ran away with a 94-54 victory on Thursday night (Jan. 25) inside Bill George Arena.
For the first time since the season opener, sophomore Jordan Martin finished in double-digits, hitting all six triples attempted, to finish with 18 points to accompany six rebounds and four assists. Pacing the John Brown offense for the 12th time this season was junior Baily Cameron, who notched her fourth double-double of the season, by scoring 19 points and registering 10 rebounds and five assists.

Central Christian (1-18, 0-11 Sooner Athletic) featured the game's leading scorer, Ridglea Hearne, who shot 7-of-20 from the floor and scored 20 points along with notching five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kassidy Forsberg added 12 points off the bench in defeat for the Tigers.
The hosts (13-7, 7-4) shot the lights out to start the game, hitting 12 of its first 13 chances from the field to score 30 points in the first quarter and, powered by Martin's trio of treys in the first half, carried a commanding 45-26 lead into the break.
The lead only grew from there after a 32-17 third quarter output from the teams, culminating in JBU's game-high 42-point lead late in the contest.
Every player who hit the floor for the Golden Eagles scored, including 12 points from senior Jana Schammel, 10 points from senior Luize Skrastina and nine other John Brown scorers.
Statistically, the visiting Tigers held an advantage on the boards, but the paper didn't materialize to the court as John Brown out-rebounded CCC by a 54-32 margin, and powered by a 50 percent mark from the floor (35-of-70) kept Central Christian out of the game for the entirety of the evening.
The Tigers hit just 21-of-69 attempts (30.4 percent) and 7-of-22 from behind the arc (31.8 percent).
The Golden Eagles wrap up the week with a key matchup on Saturday (Jan. 27) at No. 5 Oklahoma City. The matchup is slated to begin at 3 p.m. inside Abe Lemons Arena.
