OKLAHOMA CITY -- John Brown University freshman defensive specialist Paige Addington has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after another standout stretch along the Golden Eagle back line, the conference office announced Monday morning (Nov. 3).
Addington anchored the defense with 58 digs over three matches, averaging 5.80 per set while passing at a .905 clip. She turned in back-to-back 20-dig performances against College of the Ozarks and Southwestern Christian, including a career-best 8.00 digs per set in the win over SCU. The Siloam Springs native also added three service aces on the week, maintaining her conference lead in total aces and climbing to second overall in digs.
The Golden Eagles finished 1–2 on the week, collecting their lone win in straight sets over Southwestern Christian in Oklahoma City.
