After Dominant Sophomore Campaign, Snodgrass Named to NAIA All-America Third Team

Snodgrass Becomes Eighth All-American in JBU Women's Basketball History

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- John Brown University sophomore guard Sarah Snodgrass has been named a third team All-American, becoming the eighth All-American in program history, the NAIA National Office announced Monday morning (March 30).

The Lincoln, Ark., native finished seventh in the nation in scoring average (21.8 points per game) and third nationally in rebounding average (13.4 per game) in her sophomore season.

"I'm so glad that Sarah has received this well-deserved recognition at the national level," head coach Sydney Webb said. "To reach this point as a sophomore is impressive, and I believe she will only continue to grow and thrive. Sarah shows up every day with consistent energy and a hunger to be the best. I love getting to coach her and see her develop as both a player and a person."

On the court, Snodgrass dominated the glass and the scoring column for the Golden Eagles, recording 21 double-doubles in 28 contests – three-quarters of the season. She scored 20 or more points in 18 games and surpassed 30 points on six occasions, including a 40-point, 12-rebound performance Nov. 7 at Northwestern (Iowa) that stood as just the third 40-point game in program history and the most points scored in a single game since 2022. She also posted 33 points and a season-high 24 rebounds Dec. 4 at Oklahoma City.

Across 28 starts, she totaled 610 points, the second-most in a single season all time and the most since 1985, and 376 rebounds while averaging 34.7 minutes per game. She shot 43.4 percent from the field and converted 72.6 percent of her 208 free throw attempts. Snodgrass led the Sooner Athletic Conference in both scoring and rebounding and was named SAC Player of the Week seven times, more than any other player in the conference this season. She also became the program's 21st 1,000-point scorer during the campaign.

The honors extended to the conference level as well, where she claimed SAC Player of the Year – only the second player in program history to do so, joining Stephens – along with a first team All-SAC selection and a spot on the SAC All-Defensive Team.

With the selection, she joins Stephens (2023, 24), Baily Cameron (2017, 18), Sierra Shipley (2014), and Kendra McCormick (2004, 06) as the eighth All-American in JBU women's basketball history. McCormick, the program's only other All-American to earn the honor as a sophomore, received her first selection in 2003-04 to the second team.

John Brown finished the 2025-26 season with a 13-16 overall record and 11-11 mark in Sooner Athletic play.
