Earning three letters under head coach Greg Hannah, Engel graduated in 2018 after posting an individual 16-2 record as a senior, including a perfect 10-0 mark in conference play. The team's leadership award winner helped the Tigers to a conference title - the same year Engel qualified for sectionals in doubles play.
