Winingham earned four letters under head coach Brian Schultz at Valor Christian High School. During her sophomore and junior seasons, she tallied six goals and nine assists (21 points) from the centerback position, where she led the Eagles to 5A state runner-up finish in 2018. Winingham was named to the All-State second team selection as a junior and was a three-time Academic All-State honoree. She played club for Real Colorado of both the ECNL and Development Academy as a discovery player.

Ryan is the daughter of Brett and Nicki Winingham and hopes to major in nursing.
