From the Desk of the Director of Athletics
The 2025-26 academic year is here, and we watch in anticipation to see how the Lord will work in the lives of our students and staff. Intentional relationships are formed within the team as they learn to sacrifice for one another, look after one another, and follow, lead, and encourage one another. Through athletics, they learn to persevere through the ups and downs of life. But what sets Golden Eagle athletics apart from other programs is our ability to combine sport with ministry. Our intent is to plant and water the seeds and let the Lord move, as only He can, in their hearts.
In today's ever-changing world of college athletics, JBU remains committed to emphasizing academics, character development, and community service while striving to win in competition. We are proud to be a member of the NAIA — whose national campaign is "The Right Way to Play" — keeping college athletics the way it was meant to be.
High standards were set in 2024-25, and we are driven to continue to raise the bar in 2025-26!
- All 11 of JBU's teams earned NAIA Scholar-Team Honors.
- Department-wide, the Golden Eagles posted a 3.46 cumulative GPA.
- JBU Athletics scored a perfect 100% on the NAIA Champions of Character scorecard.
- Because of our success in competition, we finished runner-up (out of 13 teams) in the 2024-25 SAC Commissioner's Cup.
- Women's track and field and women's soccer captured their respective SAC championships.
- The Valorant esports team completed a perfect season (11-0) and won the ECAC division title.
We ask you to partner with us this year as a Golden Eagle Booster Club member. The support we receive each year plays a big part in the success of JBU Athletics — both in and out of competition. I encourage you to read through this page to learn how you helped last year and how you can help again this year!
Continuing to soar to new heights together,
Robyn Daugherty
Director of Athletics
