Biography

Senior | 2020-21

Saw action in all 15 contests, making 15 starts and averaging 30.3 minutes per game, ranking second on the team … ranked as the team’s second-leading scorer at 15.9 points per game, shooting 74-of-163 (45.4 percent) from the field, 34-of-88 (38.6 percent) from long range and 56-of-80 (70 percent) from the free throw line … hit double figures in 14 of 15 games, including a stretch of 11-straight contests to begin the season … went for 20 or more points four times … totaled a season-high 21 points twice against Southwestern A.G. (1/16) and Texas Wesleyan (2/13) … Shot 8-of-16 from the field with four triples against Southwestern A.G. and added four rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal … hit 11 free throws and as part of his 21-point performance against Texas Wesleyan … led the team in rebounding at 6.6 per game … totaled two double-doubles … pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds against Wayland Baptist (2/24) … added 37 assists, 12 steals and seven blocks.

Junior | 2019-20

Saw action in all 33 contests, starting 32 times and averaging a team-leading 31.5 minutes per game … made a big step forward offensively, increasing his scoring average to 15.2 points per game, shooting 46.3 percent (149-of-322) from the field overall and 42.7 percent (64-of-150) from three-point range … also converted 141-of-166 free throw attempts (84.9 percent) … scored in double figures 27 times and reached double figures in rebounds another 15 times … led the Golden Eagles in rebounding (8.8 per game) and blocked shots (25) … scored a career-high 32 points against Oklahoma City (1/18) as part of a run of four straight games with 22 or more points … had a monster game of 23 points (including 15-of-16 from the free-throw line) and 18 rebounds versus Southwestern Christian (1/16) … notched 13 double-doubles … also dished out 60 assists and made 29 steals over the course of the season.

Sophomore | 2018-19

Saw action in all 34 contests, averaging 19.2 minutes per game … increased scoring average to 6.9 points per game, shooting 53.3 percent (81-of-152) from the field … scored in double figures nine times … tied career high with 15-point effort versus Langston (2/21) … recorded back-to-back 11 rebound efforts versus Oklahoma Panhandle State (2/9) and Mid-America Christian (2/14) … shot 4-of-7 from the field to score nine points against Bethel (Tenn.) in NAIA National Championships Round of 32 (3/20) … team leader with 48 offensive caroms and 176 total rebounds.

Freshman | 2017-18

Played in 25 games and made 11 of 12 starts to close the season … averaged 5.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game … posted first collegiate double-double, 13 points and a season-high 11 rebounds, at Oklahoma Panhandle State (2/22) … scored in double figures four of the last six games of season, including season-high 15 points at Bacone (2/13) … third-best free-throw percentage on team at 83.3 percent (30-of-36) … shot 45.4 percent (49-of-108) from the field.

Prep Career

Carnes was a four-year letter winner under head coaches Nathan Goolsbi and Shane Smith at First Presbyterian Christian where he led the Highlanders to a regional championship as senior. Averaging 33 points per game as a senior, Carnes helped his squad to back-to-back conference titles while landing consecutive All-Conference selections.

Personal

Densier is the son of Densier Jr. and Sherry Carnes and is enrolled in the graduate leadership program.
