Prior to JBU
Ellis comes to Siloam Springs by way of Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Ill. While spending his freshman season with the Chiefs under head coach Lance Robinson, Ellis averaged 15.8 points, 7.9 assists and 6.7 rebounds per game, including a career-best 29 point outing against College of Lake County. The six-foot guard's outstanding season was punctuated with All-Conference and All-Region first team selections and was capped off with a top-five national finish in average assists per game in NJCAA II.
Prep Career
Ellis completed a four-year career under head coach, and father, Linton Ellis and the Illinois Cru homeschool team in 2019. The six-foot guard led the Cru to three consecutive National Christian HomeSchool Championships national semifinal appearances, including a national championship game showing in 2017 and 2018. Ellis, the 2019 NCHC National Offensive Player of the Year, posted a career-best 39 points against the Dallas Thunder homeschool team as a sophomore.
