Biography
Prep Career
The Fayetteville native played soccer for Fayetteville High School while being homeschooled, competing in the 6A West conference. The forward and winger helped the Bulldogs finish as state runner-up in consecutive seasons (2022, 23) and reach the state semifinals in 2024; entering the final stretch of her senior season, the team sat atop the conference standings. Whitson scored 11 goals as a sophomore, earning All-Conference honorable mention recognition, and posted a hat trick against Fort Smith Northside as a senior. She had at least nine goals through her senior season with several games still remaining.
In club play, she helped Bentonville FC Prodigy win a state tournament championship.
Personal
Kara is the daughter of Steve and Angela Whitson amd hopes to major in biology.
