Prior to John Brown
Made previous stops at NCAA II institutions Fresno Pacific (Calif.) and Biola (Calif.). Last season with Biola, Hutchings appeared in 11 contests, totaling 14 points on the season in 48 minutes. In his freshman campaign at Fresno Pacific, he started four games and made 17 total appearances. Hutchings averaged over three points per game and shot 43 percent from the field.

Prep
Hutchings was a four-year letterwinner at Santa Cruz High School under head coach Lawan Millhouse, where he averaged nearly 15 points, five assists and nine rebounds per contest. The two-time All-State selection also landed All-League first team honors three times while helping the Cardinals to a pair of league titles.
