Biography

Before John Brown

Matin appeared in 17 games for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M as a freshman, where he averaged 3.9 minutes per game. Matin scored 16 points in 66 minutes, and converted 33 percent (5-of-15) of attempted field goals, while totaling 15 rebounds and four assists on the season.

Prep Career

Malek played his prep basketball for Trafford College in Manchester, England. He scored 30 points in a game three times as a sophomore, and was selected for the Iranian U19 National Team for the FIBA World Cup.

Personal

Matin is the son of Hamid Malek and Mitra Tabrizi and hopes to major in political science.
