Mason Blevins is in his first season as assistant coach with the Golden Eagles distance crew.
The former NCAA I standout spent his collegiate career at Morehead State (Ky.) where he set a personal collegiate best of 26:10.37 at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships where he placed 41st that qualified the freshman for the NCAA Southeast Regionals.
In track, the Somerset, Ky. native posted personal best marks in the 10,000 meter (34:53.71), the 5,000 meter (15:19.05), 3,000 meter (9:15.25) and the 1,500 meter (4:25.88). Blevins also threw the javelin, launching his career-best mark of 22.03 meters (72' 3") at the University of Louisville Twilight.
For the past three years, Blevins did ministry work for Athletes in Action, where he helped plan, prepare, and recruit for ministry events that contributed to the physical, mental and spiritual development of the cross country and track student-athletes. He also helped lead teams to Spain and North Africa.
The USA Track and Field Level 1 certified coach graduated from Morehead State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in strategic communications. Blevins and his wife, Emily, reside in Siloam Springs.
