A 2025 graduate of Mingo Valley Christian, Steele competed as a multi-sport athlete for the Eagles at the 3A level in the HCAA. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native earned four letters in track and field under head coach William Bryson, five more letters in basketball and another four letters in soccer.

Steele set state records in the 400 meters (58.92) and high jump (5-4) during her junior season, along with program records in the 100 meters (12.54), 200 meters (25.87), and 300-meter hurdles (47.35) as a junior and long jump (16-7) as a sophomore. She earned High Point State Meet Champion recognition in track and field in both 2022 and 2024, along with MVP honors three times (2022, 2023, 2024).

The multi-sport athlete was also a three-time All-State selection in both basketball and soccer.

Abby is the daughter of David and Laura Steele and plans to major in kinesiology.
