A 2023 graduate of The Classical Academy, Morton competed as a multi-sport athlete for the Titans at the 3A level. The Monument, Colorado native earned four letters in track and field under head coach Tim Daggett, three letters in basketball under head coach Frank Haist, and one letter in cross country under head coach Matthew Norton.

Morton posted personal records of 2:27.13 in the 800 meters, 59.80 in the 400 meters, 26.83 in the 200 meters, and 13.13 in the 100 meters during her senior season. She also earned the Women's Most Valuable Athlete award in track and field as a senior.

Emma is the daughter of Matthew and Trisha Morton and hopes to major in Christian ministry and formation.
