Prep
James, a three-year letterwinner for head coaches Brooke Brttain and Bethany Gonzalez at James Martin High School, earned an All-District selection and Defensive Player of the Year plaudits in her senior season. While at James Martin, she captained team and averaged 12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and just over three assists and steals per game in her final season and led her squad to consecutive bi-district title game appearances, including one championship.
