Altman was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Jessika Caldwell at Valor Christian where the two-year captain and three-time CHSAA All-State selection helped lead the squad to consecutive 4A state titles. While landing All-State academic accolades in consecutive seasons, she set single-game career bests in assists (11) and steals (8) as a junior and points (17) in her senior campaign.

Maddie is the daughter of Trevor and Darlene Altman and is enrolled in the MBA graduate program.
