Biography
Prep Career
A 2025 graduate of Valley Springs High School, Trammell competed as a 6-foot forward for the Tigers at the 3A level under head coaches Ryan Johnson and Dawson Yates. The Valley Springs native averaged 10.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game during her junior season while shooting 36 percent from three-point range as a senior. Trammell recorded a triple-double performance with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 blocks during her junior year and surpassed 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds as a senior. The four-year letterwinner helped the Tigers capture the district championship during the 2023-2024 season and earned All-Conference recognition as a freshman, sophomore, and junior. Trammell received the Charles Trammell Tiger Pride Award and The Dickey Family Award during her senior season.
Trammell also competed as a three-year letterwinner in volleyball under head coaches Kelsey Robinson and Cheryl Williams, earning All-State honors as a senior and All-State Honorable Mention recognition as a junior. She also received All-Conference honors during her junior and senior seasons.
Personal
Tayla is the daughter of Scottie and Melanie Trammell ... hopes to major in kinesiology ... chose JBU because of the strong sense of family and support, along with the positive environment on campus.
