Prep Career
Vazquez was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track and field under head coach Heather Wade at Pea Ridge High School. While a Blackhawk, she helped her squad to three indoor state track titles in four seasons and one outdoor championship. She earned three All-Conference selections and was named All-State in her junior and senior seasons. Vazquez set a 5,000 meter race personal record as a senior with a 20:04 time and also posted personal records in the 3,200 meter run (12:26), the 1,600 meter run (5:40) and the 800 meter run (2:35).
Personal
Liz is the daughter of Ana Islas and hopes to major in biology.
