Biography
Prep Career
The Forest Grove, Oregon native was a letterwinner throughout her prep career at Forest Grove High School, graduating early in 2025 under head coach Nacho Olvera. The defensive midfielder earned All-Pacific Conference Honorable Mention as a freshman before making the All-Pacific Conference First Team three straight seasons. Long was a two-time Pacific Conference Player of the Year as a junior and senior, twice leading Forest Grove in scoring during that span, and closed her prep career with a spot on the All-OSAA 6A Second Team in 2024.
In club play, she captained Thorns Academy, leading the squad to the 2024 ECNL national quarterfinals.
Personal
Joy is the daughter of Joel and Stephanie Long and plans to study kinesiology.
