Rachel Caldwell joined the volleyball program at John Brown University in the fall of 2019 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Caldwell will be assisting the program by helping with daily practices, with a particular focus on setters and defensive specialists. She will also focus on the program's spiritual development, team building and leadership exercises.

The former three-year Golden Eagle setter under Robyn Daugherty graduated from JBU in 2004 before earning her Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University (Minn.) in 2013.

Before returning to Siloam Springs, Caldwell served on the coaching staff at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul (Minn.). After a few years of coaching Junior Olympic volleyball, the former Golden Eagle returned home to coach the ninth grade squad at Siloam Springs High School before taking a two-year stint as head volleyball coach of the Wichita Defenders, a homeschool organization.

Caldwell resides in Siloam Springs with her husband, Ben, and her children, Matthew, Abigail and Naomi.
