Biography

Prep Career

A 2026 graduate of Oologah High School, the Oklahoman earned four letters under head coach Abby Piha and added another three in tennis under head coach Shayne Doyle, competing in the Verdigris Valley Conference at the 4A level. The 5-foot-2 defensive specialist surpassed 1,000 career digs in her junior campaign, a season in which she was also named All-Conference MVP and Athlete of the Year. Whitten closed her prep career with a senior season that included a program-record 35 digs in a single match, a season-best 547 digs that broke her own single-season mark, and a career total of 1,500 digs over four years, earning her a second consecutive All-Conference MVP selection.

Personal

Emily is the daughter of Jeremy and Patricia Whitten and hopes to major in Christian ministry and formation.
