Biography

Prep Career

A four-year letterwinner under head coach Desiree Shahan at Granbury High School, Welch becomes a Golden Eagle after landing a conference Setter of the Year honor in her senior season. Welch's swan song included surpassing the 2,000 assists mark and earning her way onto the 5A All-State list. The 5-foot-5 setter qualified for the All-Academic Team while landing a Team MVP selection.

Personal

Sara is the daughter of Andy and Mitzi Hilley and hopes to major in biology.
