A four-year letterwinner under head coach Michelle Smith, Riney's impressive career at Bentonville High School included a pair of conference titles and a 2019 6A state championship. The 2019 Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Year finished her career with 1,124 terminations and 867 digs, leading the Tigers to its sixth state title in program history behind a match-best 19 terminations versus Ft. Smith Southside. The effort helped end Southside's 18-match winning streak and earned Riney championship match MVP honors. She was also named All-Conference twice during her time in the black and gold.
