Biography
Carter Henson began his broadcasting career as a sophomore at John Brown University in the fall of 2014, calling Golden Eagles basketball games.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in communications in the spring of 2017, he participated in JBU's Soderquist Fellowship Program and completed a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing research and consumer insights in 2019.
Currently, Henson serves as the director of owned and earned media in the Office of Marketing and Communications at JBU, where he manages the university's social media channels and website content, collaborating closely with the chief marketing and communications officer. He also leads the department's student photography team, capturing images and crafting compelling content.
Outside his work at JBU, Henson can be heard broadcasting on Sunday afternoons on 90.9 KLRC and freelances for The Grid Esports. He enjoys sports (especially baseball), esports, fitness, and live music.
Henson and his wife, Kamber, are active in their church and cherish time with their friends and family. The couple resides in Springdale, with their cat, Beans.
