Biography

Dr. Becky Weimer serves as dean of academic services and registrar at John Brown University, positions she has held since 2014 and 2007, respectively. In her current role, she oversees the registrar's office, academic advising, academic assistance, student support services and retention initiatives.

Weimer joined JBU in 2000 as the coordinator of disability services and has since held several leadership positions within the institution, including director of academic assistance and director of student support services. Her administrative expertise follows 14 years of teaching experience in middle school and high school English at both private and public institutions across Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Prior to JBU, she served as director of academic assistance at Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary.

A committed educator, Weimer earned her doctorate from the University of Arkansas in 2012. She also holds a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Arkansas (2002) and a bachelor's degree in English secondary education from Ball State University (1984).

Outside of her academic responsibilities, Weimer enjoys reading, cross-stitching and exploring historical topics. She is the proud mother of four children: Alexa, Caley, Cameron and Roman.
