Biography

Mary Beth Andrews is in her second season as assistant coach with the Golden Eagles cheerleading squad.

The former cheer standout spent her collegiate career with the powerhouse program at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, where she helped lead the Lions to back-to-back National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) national intermediate coed championships. The latter title came in a combined division where Andrews and the Lions edged out the University of Michigan for the crown.

In her junior season, the West Fork, Ark. native was named squad captain and led a young UAFS team to a third-place national finish.

After three seasons, Andrews focused on finishing her academic career and soon graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) in 2020. The former recipient of the Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship and Chancellor’s Leadership Council Scholarship is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling at John Brown University and is scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2023.

Andrews, who also captained West Fork High School to a state title as a senior, currently resides in Siloam Springs.
