Micah Peterson

Biography

Micah Peterson '22 joined John Brown University as an athletic trainer in the summer of 2026, returning to the school where he earned his undergraduate degree four years earlier.

He completed his Master of Athletic Training at the University of Arkansas in 2026. His clinical work took him through the Razorback women's soccer and track and field programs, a rotation at the UAMS Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Clinic in Fayetteville, stops at Har-Ber and Bentonville West high schools, and, briefly, back to JBU's own athletic training staff. He is certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) and holds additional training in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid and Stop the Bleed.

A 2022 magna cum laude graduate of JBU, Peterson earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Sports and Medicine with a minor in Spanish, and received the Chancellor's Academic Award and the Governor's Distinguished Scholarship.

He resides in Siloam Springs with his wife, Joanna '24.
