SILOAM SPRINGS -- Because of ongoing COVID-19 protocols, the John Brown University women's basketball matchups with Texas Wesleyan and Southwestern A.G. (Texas) that were scheduled for this weekend have been postponed, Director of Athletics Robyn Daugherty announced Tuesday (Jan.12) morning.
Those matchups are slated to be rescheduled at a later date.
The men's program, however, is scheduled to see its first action this evening at Science & Arts (Okla.) at 6 p.m. Because of the women's basketball postponements, the men's contest versus Texas Wesleyan on Thursday has been moved to 6 p.m. Saturday's tip-off time with Southwestern A.G. has yet to be determined.
As a result of the elevated positivity rates in the region, JBU will continue its current policy of only allowing a limited number of family members into its home events. No additional spectators, including visiting fans, will be allowed to attend and no passes are being honored until further notice. Fans are encouraged to tune in to all of the men's and women's basketball action inside Bill George Arena on the SAC Sports Network.
