RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- The John Brown University women's tennis was swept by NCAA II Arkansas Tech on Thursday (Feb. 25) afternoon at the Chartwells Womens Sports Complex.
"Arkansas Tech will be one of our toughest outs this season, and today that showed it," head coach Mike Campbell admitted.
"I'm proud that we kept the proper perspective despite the challenging day. Our top two ladies (Sydney Smith, Abigail Woodring) played very well, with most of their games going to a deuce. It was good tennis and fun to watch the battle."
John Brown (0-2) returns to the court on Friday (March 5) in Fulton, Mo. when the Golden Eagles take on Bethel (Kan.) before facing host William Woods (Mo.) the following morning. Both matchups will take place at the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.
