Match Recap: Women's Tennis | | Nicholas Robinson, Director of Athletics Communications

Lions Sweep Season Series with Women's Tennis

FORT SMITH -- The John Brown University women's tennis team fell by a 7-0 final score at NCAA III Arkansas – Fort Smith on Wednesday (March 25) afternoon at the Fort Smith Athletic Club.

"Our women's team is full of character and heart," noted head coach Mike Campbell. "I don't have a single complaint after a tough day in Fort Smith yesterday. I think Sydney Smith played some of the best tennis she's played all year and Hayvnn probably played as well as anybody yesterday in a tough match in the fourth spot. She was right there and almost pulled out the victory.

"Like the men, the ladies have fought through a tough part of the schedule, but looking ahead, there are some more manageable matches coming up and we're all looking forward to them."

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday (April 6) afternoon when it travels to Clarksville, Ark. to take on Ozarks (Ark.) in a match scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
