JBU Athletics Partners with Influxer to Empower Student-Athletes Through NIL Opportunities

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. -- The Department of Athletics at John Brown University announced a partnership Friday (Jan. 9) with Influxer, an officially licensed vendor that will provide NIL opportunities to Golden Eagles student-athletes.

The partnership gives all 200-plus domestic JBU student-athletes the ability to monetize their name, image and likeness through personalized, co-branded merchandise and apparel. Student-athletes can create individual web pages to showcase and sell personalized merchandise directly to fans.

"We began this program during the fall 2025 semester with something of a 'silent phase' and had only a small percentage of student-athletes participate in the initial stages," said Director of Athletics Robyn Daugherty. "I expect that this NIL opportunity will grow as we make it public through this press release, as our fans and families seek to support our terrific student-athletes in this way. Our student-athletes receive a flat rate for each item sold with their name and/or number, and the athletic department receives a percentage that is placed into a fund to support initiatives that enhance the JBU student-athlete experience.

"It's been exciting to see fans and family members attend games wearing these branded products!"

Once a student-athlete or spirit team member has opted in, fans will be able to find apparel at the official store. All designs are approved by the university, and merchandise options include shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, shorts, pants, hats, blankets, tumblers and more.

In addition to serving as an online marketplace, Influxer will provide student-athletes with marketing education, entrepreneurship training and personal branding instruction. Influxer staff are available for free one-on-one coaching on topics ranging from social media marketing to taxes to contract review.

The company also offers paid internships to student-athletes on most partner campuses in areas including marketing, graphic design and business.

"Influxer is thrilled to partner with the Golden Eagles to provide NIL opportunities for all student-athletes," said Keith Miller, Influxer vice president. "Robyn Daugherty and the athletic department have been intentional not only about focusing on the value NIL brings to the student-athlete experience, but also about recognizing the business experience and professional development it can provide to JBU student-athletes."

Founded in 2022, Influxer is a student-athlete-focused NIL platform and officially licensed merchandise provider that partners with more than 500 colleges and universities nationwide. The company connects student-athletes to resources designed to help them thrive in the NIL market, offering personalized merchandise with officially licensed school branding.
