CHICKASHA, Okla. -- The John Brown University men's basketball team's regular season contest at Science & Arts (Okla.) has been suspended with 10:00 remaining in the second half.
The game was forced into suspension after the Drovers' Chris Yapo completed a charging dunk in transition that resulted in the shattering of the backboard. The rim also came unhinged as the glass rained down onto the court.
The matchup will resume at some point later this season prior to the Sooner Athletic conference tournament with the action picking up where it left off with the Drovers holding a 63-52 lead.
The Blue and Gold will instead return home to Siloam Springs to prepare for Monday evening's (Feb. 2) tilt with Nelson (Texas) – originally scheduled for Jan. 24 – at 7 p.m. The SAC Sports Network and the Urban Edge Network will carry the action live.
