SILOAM SPRINGS -- Because of COVID-19 protocols, multiple men's and women's basketball contests the week of Jan. 2-8 have been canceled, Director of Athletics Robyn Daugherty announced this evening.
The Golden Eagle women's basketball team will absorb a 2-0 forfeit loss versus Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Jan. 3, Southwestern Christian on Jan. 6 and Mid-America Christian (Okla.) on Jan. 8.
The ladies are expected to take the court again on Thursday (Jan. 13) when it welcomes Science & Arts (Okla.) to Bill George Arena.
The men, however, earned a 2-0 forfeit victory due to issues within the Wayland Baptist program.
All decisions count on their respective teams' overall and Sooner Athletic records. The games will not be rescheduled.
