OKLAHOMA CITY -- Sophomore Andi Riley tied a program record with nine points in John Brown University's record-breaking win over Mission (Mo.) this weekend and has been named the Sooner Athletic's Offensive Player of the Week powered by Digital Scoreboards, the conference office announced Monday (Aug. 31) morning.
Shattering the previous record by three goals, the Golden Eagles improved to 2-1-0 on the young 2026 season by piling up an 18-0 victory over the first-year program on Friday evening (Aug. 28) at Alumni Field.
JBU built a 13-0 lead by halftime and rode out the contest to its final 18-goal conclusion.
Riley, en route to her first SAC weekly honor of her career, netted the 32nd hat trick in program history in the win and dished out another three assists to finish the contest with nine points, equaled only by Julia Lambert in 2024 against Nelson (Texas) and Aspen Carpenter in 2017 versus Bacone (Okla.).
The Colorado Springs, Colo. native already surpassed her freshman season totals, where she finished with one goal and three assists (5 points). She scored on First Friday Fútbol of last season and later added one assist in three separate outings.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday evening (Sept. 4) in New Orleans when John Brown faces Xavier (La.) at 5 p.m. Kickoff from Lafreniere Park will be carried live on the Urban Edge Network.
