"Great competing by the whole squad this weekend," head coach Peter Cunningham said. "It's become the norm to set multiple program records per meet so far this season, so it feels unusual to not experience that this week. It's good to remind ourselves that setting records is not the only barometer for success – the hard work and consistency has been there. As we acknowledge that progression in track and field is rarely linear, we can expect great results to be just around the corner once again.
"Abby Steele continues to impress as she shakes off the rust of surgery recovery. She set a personal record in both the 100-meter and 200-meter this week. Clare Barger set a new 400-meter PR. Sasha Strohl had set a 20-second PR at the last meet at St. Mary's, so she was especially excited to PR by another nine seconds here. Luke Preedy also continues to PR every single meet. This is his first track season, and it's fun watching him learn race tactics and grow in confidence along the way."
