CHARACTER. Upon arrival at John Brown University, Adrian Miller was special. He had not only God-given ability on the basketball floor, but a true humbleness about himself off the floor as well. People flocked to Adrian because of his personality and big heart. Whether visiting elementary schools to demonstrate his basketball abilities or fulfilling a promise made to a basketball camper to come watch one of the young man's games, Adrian was true class.
IMPROVEMENT. As a freshman, most could see that Adrian was going to be an exceptional player at JBU, but no one would have predicted what he would eventually accomplish on the basketball court. In four short years, he evolved from being a four points and three rebounds per game role player to one of the top three players in the Sooner Athletic in the 2011-12 season.
COMPLETE PLAYER. Even though he was known for his high-flying plays, Adrian was a true all-around player. Not only did he lead the Golden Eagles in scoring, but was second on the team in rebounding and led the team in assists, as well. Adrian leaves John Brown University as the 12th all-time leading scorer with 1,315 points, the 6th all-time leading rebounder with 734 rebounds and 3rd all-time in assists with 381.
WINNER. Adrian walked onto campus a year after the Golden Eagles experienced a rough season on the hard wood. Along with some talented classmates and a lot of hard work. Adrian leaves JBU with its most successful four-year period in school history, with JBU posting 95 wins, a 2010 Sooner Athletic tournament championship (a program first), a 2010 NAIA Division I National Championships quarterfinal appearance and a 2012 NAIA Division I National Championships appearance, and an average of 14 SAC victories a season.
