COMPETITOR. When this Siloam Springs native was a little girl, she dreamed of playing college basketball. Her parents, Ken and Vickie, would send her to summer basketball camps at John Brown University where she honed her skills while competing against other girls her age and older. Little did she know that someone would take notice of her talent, and she would soon wear the blue and gold. When Kendra started in the first game of her freshman year, no one knew she would go on to start in 126 more consecutive games. McCormick never missed a game during her career and, by the time it was over, she had scored an incredible 1,793 points, which made her the career scoring leader in program history. She also sits atop the all-time program list in field goals made, made more impressive as she finished her career with a 52.4 percent shooting mark from the floor, also a program best effort. McCormick also garnered various accolades during her career, including Sooner Athletic Freshman of the Year honors as a freshman, All-Conference second team honors as a junior and a first-team selection as a sophomore and senior.
VERSATILE. McCormick's ability to play inside and out made her one of the most multifaceted players in program history. Her ability to score from various positions on the court made it difficult for opposing teams to match up against her, and her added ability to convert free throws made her even more dangerous. McCormick's 384 made free throws over her career ranks first in program history, and this along with her other abilities definitely made her a force to be reckoned with.

LEADER. McCormick used every opportunity she had on the court to glorify God. By giving God all the glory, whether she won or lost, McCormick was able to lead the Golden Eagles as they faced some of the best teams in the nation. Over her career, she led her team to 71 victories, including its first-ever appearances in the NAIA National Championships in 2004 and 2006.
WINNER. Many people have dreams, but for some, those dreams never become reality. For McCormick, however, her dream of one day playing collegiate basketball superseded even her own expectations. She faced every challenge with a smile on her face and determination in her heart. McCormick has set a standard that will not soon fade.
