A TRUE NUMBER 10. Oscar Carballo embodied the essence of this difficult, but key position on the field. With exceptional talent and creativity, he was the team’s conductor in the final third – always demonstrating a high level of precision in passes, dribbling, and soccer IQ. His ability to read the game, combined with his leadership and flair, elevated the collective performance of the Blue and Gold in many important matches over five seasons.
ELITE. Oscar had a relentless drive to perform at a high level and help the team be better every time he stepped on the field. His commitment to excellence, captaining the team, and motivating others exemplified what it meant to be truly elite in the world of college soccer. The 2019 Sooner Athletic Conference’s Most Valuable Player dished out a program record 40 assists during his career, and finished with the fourth-most goals (55) and points (150) in program history.
