OUTSTANDING. After transferring to John Brown University as a sophomore, Juliana Todescan sealed her name in the program record books in only three seasons of competition. In addition to earning three consecutive NAIA All-America selections, Juliana was named the Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year at JBU in her senior season.
THE BEST. Ju was named to the Sooner Athletic All-Conference first team and Region VI first teams in all three seasons. As a sophomore, she received SAC and Region VI Newcomer of the Year honors. In both her junior and senior campaigns, Ju was named both the SAC and Region VI Most Valuable Player and Setter of the Year.
RECORD SETTER. In her three seasons, Ju led her squad to a 91-36 (.716) record, including a Sooner Athletic regular season championship in 2006, posting a perfect 10-0 record in conference play. During that time, she compiled 5,242 career assists, which made her the all-time assists leader in program history. Ju also finished her career with the third-most service aces in program history.
ALL-AROUND. A 6-foot-0 left-handed setter from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ju was known for delivering the ball to hear teammates with pinpoint accuracy. With her height and ability, she was extremely hard to defend, recording 743 career kills. Equally versatile in the classroom, Ju graduated with double majors in psychology and Spanish.
